The Catholic University of Korea(CUK) is committed to providing access to quality education for all,
with policies for low-income, underprevileged students.Socially Disadvantaged
○ High school graduates or equivalent by law that meet any of the following eligibility criteria below.
1. National veteran : A person who is a national veteran pursuant to Article 3 (2) of the Basic Act on
National Veterans' Affairs2. Basic Livelihood Recipients, Secondary Class, and Single Parent Family Support Recipients
3. Children eligible for self-support: Article 38 (2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Child Welfare Act
4. West Coast Students
Students from underprivileged areas
○ High school graduate or equivalent by law and apply to as of the application deadline to meet any of the
following eligibility criteria below.1. Type 1: Students from schools in a rural area from the time they entered middle school through high
school. Students should have completed a full course of education by the time of graduation and lived
in a rural area for the same period.2. Type 2: Students from schools in a rural area from the time they entered elementary school through high
school. Students should have completed a full course of education by the time of graduation and lived in
a rural area for the same period.
